Nissan Qashqai — presentation of an updated version of the second generation model took place in March 2017 at the Geneva Motor Show. The novelty entered the Ukrainian market in October.
The facelift of Nissan's European bestseller is expressed in a new radiator grille with a wider V-shaped insert, a different bumper and modified headlights (LED in the top configuration). A similar scale of changes was noted in the Qashqai cabin: a new steering wheel, a more modern media system, new seats with improved lateral support, an improved dashboard display and optional Bose acoustics with 8 speakers. Some changes are hidden from view, but are no less important from a consumer point of view. So, an additional layer of noise-absorbing elements was applied to the wheel arches and engine shield, the thickness of the rear window was increased, the suspension and steering gear settings were changed. According to the developers of the Japanese brand, compared to the pre-reform car, the updated Qashqai is controlled more accurately and comfortably.
The second-generation Nissan Qashqai is built on the Renault-Nissan alliance's modular CMF platform, which also formed the basis of the third generation. Nissan X-Trail, and then the models Renault Kadjar. The front suspension is with McPherson struts, while the design of the rear depends on the type of drive. For a surcharge, a surround view system, a parking attendant (trained in parallel parking), a driver fatigue monitoring system, memory for adjusting mirrors and front seats, a navigation system, a lane departure control system and other equipment are offered. And starting in 2018, the Nissan Qashqai will begin to install the ProPilot semi-autonomous driving system.
